Photo Story: President Bola Tinubu on Thursday, had a meeting with the 5 governors of the People’s Democratic party at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
This is barely one week after Wike and Makinde met with the President at the Aso Villa.
The group, led by one serving governor and four ex-governors, came about due to Iyorchia Ayu’s refusal to step down, as the key offices in the PDP then were majorly occupied by the Northerners.
The aggrieved Governor demanded the resignation of the PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, to enable the Southerners to rule the party and attain a “regional balance”.
The governors at the meeting include Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, Former Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Benue, Samuel Ortom, Okezie Ikpeazu (ex-governor) of Abia state and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, former governor of Enugu state.
