Silva ready to take Chelsea position after Potter’s sack

Marco Silva, Fulham head coach, appeared as a surprise candidate to land the vacant Chelsea job after Graham Potter was sacked on Sunday night.

Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly, fired Potter after the Blues’ Premier League 2-0 loss to Aston Villa on Saturday.

The outcome against Aston Villa left Chelsea in 11th position on the Premier League table.

However, some top managers in Europe have already been tied with the open position. An astonishing candidate from the Premier League has also emerged.

According to The Independent Nigeria Official Twitter page, Silva has swain at Chelsea and he is one of the leading prospects to supersede Potter at Chelsea.

Silva has helped supervise Fulham’s tremendous season, with his team sitting one place above Chelsea on the table.

The statement added that ex-Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann and Ex Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino also asserted to attain the Chelsea job.
