The Camp commandant of Shooting Stars of Ibadan, Auwal Muhammed, has been suspended for one year by the Interim Management Committee (IMC) after he was pictured urinating in the centre of the Adamasingba stadium pitch.
Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) announced this in a letter to the management of Shooting Stars.
The happening transpired before Week 9 fixture on Sunday, February 19, between Shooting Stars and Akwa United, which ended 2 – 2.
Also, NPFL fined the club ₦500,000 for failing to control its official conduct and bringing the game to disrepute.
The caution is to ensure appropriate standards to prevent a similar occurrence.
In this season’s league campaign, shooting Stars are seventh on 10 points in Group A standings.
The team is winless in their last three games (losing one and drawing two) and has just one win in their previous five fixtures.
