Namibia produced a first-ever win against Indomitable Lions of Cameroon after winning 2-1 in their Group C 2023 AFCON qualifier on Tuesday.
The three earlier meetings between the two teams saw Cameroon record two wins and one draw.
Goals from Peter Shalulile and Absalom Nanjana Kamutyasa ensured Namibia go top in Group C.
Vincent Aboubakar scored deep in stoppage time, which was only a relief goal for Cameroon.
The win means Namibia now has five points while Cameroon is on four points.
Namibia took the lead ten minutes after the breakthrough Mamelodi Sundowns forward, Shalulile.
With ten minutes remaining, Kamutyasa doubled Namibia’s lead before Aboubakar reduced the shortage in added time.
