Mason Greenwood’s crew has told Manchester United that they should permit the player to move forward and resuscitate his career.
The player was cleared of his charges last month after the accusations of attempted rape and assault against him were dropped.
Greenwood, 21, was widely known as one of the rising stars of football. He has already made more than 100 appearances for Manchester United.
The England youngster was arrested in January 2022 after being accused of rape and related issues. The accusation includes violence against women; and images and videos, shared on social media.
The winger was later indicted with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Accusations against him at the Crown Prosecution Service were lowered after key witnesses revoked their involvement and ‘new material came to light’.
But his club, Manchester United, said they would conduct further investigation ‘before determining next steps.’
The player’s team feels his time is being frittered and that he should be permitted to get on with his life. There is the possibility to ‘rebuild and proceed forward with his young life’.
