On Saturday, Samuel Chukwueze, Super Eagles winger, was in his best spirit in Villarreal’s 2 – 0 win over Almeria. The Nigerian international, who was making 22 appearances, has netted three goals and bagged three assists this ongoing season.
Gerard Moreno netted the first goal in the 76th minute with a right-foot finish. Thanks to a brilliant assist from Chukwueze.
The visitor extended their lead in the 88th minute through Jose Luis Morales’s superb volley. Chukwueze also provided assisted in scoring the goal. Mojica substitute Samuel in the 89th minute.
Samuel Chukwueze is the first Nigerian player to reach 10+ goals and assists in a single season. He achieved this while playing for a top-five European league team.
