The midfield maestro opened the scoring for the reigning Premier League champions before sliding the ball into Erling Haaland’s feet for the crucial third goal. Pep Guardiola’s side leapfrogged Mikel Arteta’s team into first position, breathing new life into their hopes of a third consecutive Premier League title.
The frustration and pressure of the title race appeared to be getting too many sections of the Arsenal fan base, as De Bruyne had to duck out of the way of some flying cups of beer. However, the former Chelsea midfielder was not contented with the goal, the decisive assist, or the three points, as he also wanted to poke fun at many of the Gunners fans.
