Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said Erling Haaland would only play against Liverpool on Saturday if he passes a late fitness call.
Haaland has already netted 28 goals in 26 matches for City.
The Norway striker skipped the international break because he was feeling aches in his groin.
Haaland was not sighted in training on Thursday, leading to an assumption that he could skip the visit to Liverpool.
But Guardiola says Haaland will be evaluated after City’s final training session on Friday afternoon.
“We’ll see this afternoon. We have the last training session at 4 pm today, so we will see how he feels,” Guardiola said.
