Gerrard Wants Kane To Consider Move Away

Ex-Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has urged Tottenham Hotspur’s striker, Harry Kane to quit the club, stating that the right time might be the upcoming transfer window for the England striker to move away from the north London club.

Kane, 29, made a record on Thursday night when he scored a first-half penalty in the England 2-1 victory over Italy in Naples to become the country’s all-time highest goalscorer. Declan Rice had already given Gareth Southgate’s team the lead, and Kane increased their advantage from the penalty spot just before halftime.

It was his first chance to score a penalty in an England shirt since missing one against France in the World Cup quarterfinals in Qatar. However, he converted this time, bagging his 54th and record-breaking goal in The Three Lions’ colours, destroying Wayne Rooney’s earlier mark of 53.

Just a month ago, the England striker broke Tottenham Hotspur’s goal-scoring record to become the player with the most goals in the club’s history when he scored against Manchester City—outweighing the great Jimmy Greaves’ 266 goals tally.
