Chelsea FC has extended the contract of substitute goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli until 2026.
Marcus Bettinelli, 30, joined Chelsea from London opponents Fulham in 2021 as the club sought to deliver sufficient cover for one of the most delicate positions.
Bettinelli will now stick around at Chelsea till 2026 after putting pen to paper on a fresh bargain as the club look to retain resilience in the goalkeeping position.
Bettinelli will continue to substitute for Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy, hoping he can push his way into the reckoning.
According to @chelseafans official Twitter page, he stated that “It is a privilege to be at a club like Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world, and a couple of years ago when I signed I was delighted to be here, delighted to sign,” he said upon the announcement.
