Carmelo Anthony Officially Retires from NBA

Carmelo Anthony, the 10× Basketball star, announced his retirement from NBA on Monday in an emotional video on his Instagram page.

The 38-years old basketball player has called it a career as he bids the game goodbye.
He thanked everyone that supported him during his career journey.

“I remember the days when I had nothing, just a ball on the court and a dream with something more”

“But basketball was my outlet. My purpose was strong. My communities, the cities I represented with pride and the fans that supported along the way.”

“I am very grateful for those people and places because they made me Carmelo Anthony.”

“But now the time has come for me to say goodbye to the court, where I made my name, to the game that gave me purpose and pride. With this bittersweet Goodbye to NBA, I’m excited about what the future holds for me.”

“When people ask me what I believe my legacy is, is not my feats on the court that comes to mind, nor the awards or praise because my story has always been more than basketball.”

Anthony has earned 28,289 career points so far and he has brought his stardom into the NBA. He was a member of the legendary 2003 draft class.

Carmelo had his last game in NBA for Los Angeles Lakers on April, 2022.

Anthony has left the sport as one the best scorers in the history of basketball.
He passed the baton of legacy to his son.
