Paris Saint-Germain’s visions of lifting the prestigious UEFA Champions League once again ended in defeat after the Ligue 1 giants got ousted by Bayern Munich in the round of 16.
In the second leg played at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, Bayern triumphed 2-0 to go through 3-0 on aggregate.
PSG also crashed out in the round of 16 last season after losing out to current holders Real Madrid.
Second-half strikes from Eric Choupo-Moting and Serge Gnabry secured Bayern’s qualification into the quarter-finals.
Choupo-Moting broke the deadlock in the 61st minute before Gnabry doubled the lead in the 89th minute.
