Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper has said Taiwo Awoniyi could be featured in Saturday’s (today) home fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Awoniyi is firm on his feet again after three months on the sidelines due to a groin injury.
The 25-year-old’s last appearance for the Tricky Trees was against Southampton at the St Mary’s Stadium in January.
The Nigeria international scored the winning goal for Nottingham Forest in the game.
“He’s back now. He looks sharp. He looks motivated and excited to be involved again,” Cooper told a press conference.
“We look forward to reintroducing him, whenever that may be.”
Awoniyi has made 16 appearances for Forest with four goals to his name.
