Arsenal defeats Leeds, restores eight-point Leads

Arsenal’s seventh successive win saw them win Leeds United 4-1 at the Emirates Stadium and have their eight-point lead at the top.

Gabriel Jesus began the scoring fleet in the 35th minute from the penalty spot; Ben White doubled their score two minutes after the restart.

Jesus ensured his brace in the 55th minute, Rasmus Kristensen got Leeds’ sole goal, and Granit Xhaka scored for the second league game running at the 84th mark.

The Brazilian hasn’t scored a goal since October, a month before he nurtured an injury at the World Cup.

The Gunners are relishing themselves in the first position looking down at Manchester City with an eight-point benefit.

Leeds, however, is still in a competitive relegation battle and will face their fellow demotion candidates Nottingham Forest
