Seun Kuti & SAN (Senior Advocate of Nigeria), Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika, visited the Lagos State Commissioner of Police (CP). Earlier today, a Senior Lawer, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika, followed Seun Kuti to explain himself to the Police Chief in the state.
According to a source, some Police Officers turned the visit of the suspect into a public spectacle. Immediately after Seun Kuti arrived at the CP’s office, Police arrested and handcuffed him. Presence of Seun and his lawyer walked by, and some Police Officers were seen taunting and mocking him [Seun Kuti].
The arrested Suspect has been moved to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, for interrogation.
A source also reveals that Femi Falana, a SAN, is one of the lawyers defending Seun Kuti. He [Femi Falani] was forced to call on the CP, who was absent during the visit, to complain about the unruly behaviour of the officers, the treatment of his client and the prevention of Olumide-Fusika from being present during the musician’s interrogation.
The Inspector General of Police had earlier ordered an arrest of Seun Kuti for assaulting a Police Officer in a video that surfaced online.
