Leader of Afenifere, Ayo Adebanjo, has said that victory belongs to the president-Elect when declared so by the supreme court. He said that his stand has stayed the same, and he believes the election was fraudulent and invalid.
Pa Adebanjo says he is ashamed of the people who believe and accept that Bola Tinubu won the election. When asked what the President-Elect would do to extend an olive branch to the opposition, he said, “if he had won a free and fair election, that when we can sit and discuss reconciliation. The way of his coming to office is questionable.”
The Afenifere leader said, “if he has stolen the mandate and we are chasing him to get it back, he cannot turn around and ask us what he can do to make things right so he can keep our mandate”. He said it would be a loss of focus and morality to even consider the question of an olive branch.
