The supreme court of justice has declared Ademola Adeleke as the certified governor of Osun state. Delivering judgement on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 the court has ruled out the petition by the former governor, Oyetola of APC challenging the victory of PDP flag bearer, Ademola Adeleke on the July 16th election.

Adeleke was declared winner of the gubernatorial election held on 16th July. However, Oyetola alleged that there was over-voting during the election.
After series of petitions by the former governor, Oyetola, the court has confirmed Ademola as the original governor of Osun state.
The five-member panel led by Justice Emmanuel Agim, struck out the appeal by Senator Oyetola, on the ground that it lacks merit.
The Supreme Court correctly reinstates Ademola Adeleke as governor.
