Shehu Garba, a Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media, claimed that Muhammadu Buhari has done well in his eight years as the president of the country. Speaking with the Channels Television on Sunday, the presidential aide, Shehu Garba has stated that his principal laid a proper founder for the incoming government.
“The president feels fulfilled. He has done exceptionally well as best as he can in the circumstances in which he has found himself.”
“He is satisfied going home for the next president to contribute and build on the foundations he has laid” He said.
He said that the efforts made by the President would later be appreciated by Nigerians.
Garba also added that the apology made by the President as regards his actions does not mean that he(the president) took responsibility for his actions, as it is not deliberate.
“And certainly, the President is not a malicious person as to go out to deliberately hurt people”
“You can’t walk on eggs without breaking them. It is absolutely not possible.”
Recall that the President has pleaded with the citizens of the country, seeking for forgiveness for his failed government. His aide, Shehu Garba, however noted that this apology doesn’t imply any wrongdoing.
“So, the apology by President Muhammadu Buhari did not indicate acceptance of wrongdoing on his part.”
He praised his principal for the successful eradication of the Book Haram Insurgency.
Mr Shehu pointed out the COVID 19 pandemic as one of the factors that influenced the dwindling economy and high rate of inflation in the country.
