Post the elections; the internet has been flooded with reactions from the camps of the winners and the supposed losers. Party supporters have preened in victory in the APC, while members of the opposition have cried out against the election. Many calling it an “s” election.
The back-and-forth banter, however, has remarkably been loudest between the APC and Labour Party. With even its official spokespeople go at each other publicly on TV and social media.
When asked about the marked absence of the PDP in this rivalry, Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa said, “What you consider as PDP being missing in action is not so. It is more of PDP displaying its maturity. We are not a party of newcomers or novices. We are not a party seeking to be known. The squabble has been between APC and the Labour Party.”
He said his party had taken their grievances to court and did not feel the need to make a scene, unlike the other parties.
