Mahmood Has done what IBB Did to Nigerians in 1993. According to Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the Afenifere Leader and Chieftain National Democratic Coalition, June 12 was principally a struggle for recognition of the Voters to show that their votes will count.
Referring to Abiola’s son’s statement, that was the first time in this country that people voted irrespective of religion and ethnicity. Afenifere supported Abiola because he won the election free and fair, even though he wasn’t an Afenifere fan.

Also, he compared Ibrahim Babangida’s action as the Head of State to be the same as what Yakubu Mahmood did in the last election. Mahmood has done what IBB did to all Nigerians in 1993.
That’s why we are still in this situation. We have not learnt the lesson. Let’s allow the votes to count. The battle continues until we allow the votes to count and let the electorate enjoy the fruits of their votes.
