Buhari claimed that he and his Presidential team had brought the issue of terrorism and banditry in the country to a minimal level during his administration. The outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari, during his farewell speech on Sunday, May 28, believes that, claimed that he had reduced the high rate of criminal activities in the country.
He said:
In his farewell speech, Buhari gave himself accolades by stating that he’s leaving the country in a better position than it was before his regime.
“I am confident that I am leaving office with Nigeria better in 2023 than in 2015”
He went to appeal to Nigerians for taking some decisions which resulted in pain and suffering to them.
” in the course of revamping the economy, we made some difficult choices, most of which yielded the desired results. Some of the measures led to temporary pain and suffering for which I sincerely apologised to my fellow countrymen, but the measures were taken for the over-all good of the country” he said.
President Muhammadu Buhari has described President-Elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a better choice to take over him.
“You are the best candidate among all contestants, and Nigerians have chosen well”
The president has appreciated all the citizens for supporting him during his term in office.
