Aisha Yesufu, a Labour Party supporter, has accused an APC candidate in Kaduna State of being caught “butt naked” with a woman that is not his wife.
She however provides no proof to back her allegations. Mrs. Yesufu is known to make incendiary comments on sensitive issues. She is closely associated with the #BringBackOurGirls campaign for the return of the Chibok Girls.
In her tweet on Monday evening, she lamented that irrespective of this conduct, the politician still receives support from clerics.
Aisha Yesufu also drew parallels between how the politician is being treated compared to women. She noted that “if it was a woman” clerics would have sought to charge her to sharia court.
Despite calls in her comment section for proof of the allegation, her follow up tweets did not address that. Instead Aisha Yesufu doubled down on her accusation that the same clerics that failed to call out the alleged erring politician “will turn around and tell the poor masses that it is their sins that is making them suffer the hardship that the bad governance caused”.
