Agenda of President Bola Tinubu for the next four years. Speaking at the Arise TV Sunday Morning Show, Steve Ayorinde, one of the programme’s anchors, described President Tinubu’s actions as impressive. This contradicts people’s expectations as experienced during the campaign.
Steve also said one of his [President Tinubu] strengths is putting good things together to get things done. He has the pedigree of choosing the right people to get things done. He said we should applaud what he has done and advised we don’t get carried away with the policies but to look out for the full implementation.
Also speaking is Osita Okechukwu, the Director General (DG) of the Voice of Nigeria; he said Asiwaju [President Tinubu] had manifested boldness from the onset. Consensus and Conflict theories are twin brothers. Now that the ovation is high, it’s very important to tackle the issue of insecurity.
Responding to whether President Tinubu is the bite former President Buhari lacked while in office, considering the bold actions he [Tinubu] has taken within few weeks in office as the President, Osita said:
Far from that, the truth is that Tinubu promised to do the continuity of Buhari’s regime. The Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) became possible during President Buhari. Just like in Agriculture, a foundation has already been laid. Section 5 of the 1999 constitution has vested the President with the federal executive power. He has the power to appoint 5 Advisers on any given item like the Security. Although the constitution is very specific, one should be called National Security Adviser.
