Former USA President, Donald Trump arrived at his hotel in New York to willingly surrender to his arraignment on “hush money” charges. The former president has many cases pending against him in many states and will be the first ex-president ever to be arrested.
Former diplomat, Joe Keshi in an appearance on Arise TV highlights this as a lesson to Nigerians. The lesson was that “no man is above the law”. He noted that Trump would have to surrender to the police. He said the Nigerian police could barely maintain Law and Order, they wouldn’t dare try to investigate a President.
The Former Ambassador said the police didn’t clearly define their purpose. He compared the DSS and the CIA saying:
“If these elections had happened in America, the CIA would want to know what happened with the BVAS. If they were hacked or not. DSS told us to be careful not to heat the polity.”
