Special Assistant to President Muhammed Buhari on Digital & New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi, announced that the President had signed 16 Constitution Amendment Bills into Law.
Ogunlesi made the announcement via his twitter handle, @toluogunlesi, today.
These Amendments give states autonomy in many new and exciting ways. For instance, signing these recent Amendments gives the states autonomous power to generate and manage electricity. States can now transmit and distribute electricity in areas covered by the national grid. This was prohibited pre-amendment.
