Smart Adeyemi Says 2023 Election Is Between Peter Obi And Tinubu.

According to Smart Adeyemi, the senator representing the Kogi West constituency, the 2023 presidential election will be a race between the Labour Party candidate, Mr Peter Obi, and the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He made this declaration after he picked up the Kogi State governorship nomination form from the APC National Secretariat on Monday, adding that Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, stands no chance in the election.

Adeyemi, who recently announced his intention to run for governor in the Kogi gubernatorial election on November 11, 2023, stated that the 2023 presidential election is a two-horse race between the candidates from Southern Nigeria. He commended the 19 Northern APC Governors for insisting that the centre of power must shift to the south.

In his evaluation of the presidential candidates’ anticipated performances, the Kogi State governorship candidate disregarded the PDP candidate, belittled the chances of Peter Obi, and stressed that Tinubu stands a better chance of winning the election. He questioned why anyone would vote for Atiku, pointing out his role in privatisation and selling assets to non-performing companies. Adeyemi emphasised that the Northern governors in the APC have insisted on a power shift to save Nigeria from its crisis and that history will forever be kind to them.

Adeyemi added that the election is between Asiwaju and Obi and that Atiku is not in the race. He further stated that Asiwaju created wealth while Atiku sold Nigeria’s wealth and resources. He also pitied Peter Obi and emphasised that there is no Labour Party presence in his constituency. Winning an election, according to Adeyemi, is about strategic thinking and planning, not about talking too much. He revealed that he supports Asiwaju and Shettima because of their records and contemporary issues in the Nigerian nation, not because they are APC members.
