Seplat’s CEO Resigns Following Court Order

Seplat Energy PLC’s CEO, Roger Brown, resigned after a Federal High Court in Lagos issued an order against him. The court has prohibited Brown from holding the position of CEO until the determination of a lawsuit filed against him. This also applies to accused by stakeholders of the company.

According to the aggrieved stakeholders, the accusation against Brown is of racism, favouritism towards expatriate workers, discrimination against Nigerians, and violating the good governance code.

Seplat Energy PLC is a Nigerian independent energy company engaged in the exploration and production of oil and gas. The company has not released an official statement on Brown’s resignation.

Further updates will be provided as the case progresses.
