Former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party Presidential candidate Peter Obi put out a thread of tweets today speaking once again about the violence Nigerians had to endure “while simply trying to exercise their rights”. His tweets included graphic photos.
“It is equally disheartening that the security agencies with the constitutional duty of preventing and detecting crime have not made the arrest of the criminals who perpetrated these brutal acts a primary focus,but were instead quick to detect and arrest citizens who are using their right to free speech and social media to condemn the wrong doings of our supposed Leaders.”
He disparaged the security agencies and referred to the earlier arrest of popular tweep and Obidient supporter @chude__ saying
Opposition lawyer Festus Keyamo has filed petitions to curb utterances from the Labour Party camp, but they have had no effect so far.
