Former Governor of Rivers state, Rotimi Amaechi, accused INEC of colluding so deeply with the PDP in Rivers state.
He describes a potentially volatile scene he witnessed the day before between the INEC officials and some state youths. By his telling the INEC officials wanted to leave the area without uploading the results, the youths refused and kept them in place.
When the Former governor arrived on the scene, it had built to an impasse which he quickly tried to resolve. Through added pressure from him, the INEC officials finally uploaded the results, which to him was undeniable proof that INEC was compromised and had no intentions of running a fair election.
He also said that the security agencies were compromised, citing instances where the police had gone after APC party members at the bidding of their PDP masters.
All in all, the former governor was not impressed by the elections as he saw them.
