President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn in seven Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) board members. The ceremony occurred at the State House in Abuja after a Federal Executive meeting in the morning.
During the ceremony, the President administered the oath of office to the following re-appointed ICPC members:
Justice Adamu Bello (retd.) from Katsina State
Hannatu Mohammed from Jigawa State
Olubukola Balogun from Lagos State
Obiora Igwedibia from Anambra State
Dr. Abdullahi Saidu from Niger State
Yahaya Dauda from Nasarawa State
Grace Chinda from Rivers State
The ICPC board members will serve for four more years, with their renewed term of office set to expire in March 2027. President Buhari urged the members to be diligent and committed to their duties in his address.
It’s worth noting that Buhari first inaugurated these seven board members in 2019. By renewing the ICPC board members’ tenure, the administration hopes to continue making progress towards these goals
