Peter Obi Waited 5 Days to Deny “Yes Daddy” – Festus Keyamo

The saga of the leaked audio is far from over. The audio clip allegedly carries the voice of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and Living Faith Church General overseer, David Oyedepo. Mr. Obi has come out to publicly deny the audio and has taken up legal action against the People’s Gazette for running the story. A legal challenge the online newspaper has readily accepted.

However, Senior Advocate of Nigeria(SAN) and a Spokesperson for the APC has mocked Mr. Obi for taking his time to respond to the allegations. He said, “Peter Obi waited for 5 GOOD DAYS to observe whether the ‘yes-daddy’ audio would be very damaging or not to him before commenting on it and when he confirmed it had ended his political career, he tweeted a very WEAK DENIAL.”

He accused Mr. Obi of avoiding the issue saying the presidential aspirant had a habit of tweeting every day but went radio silent concerning the leaked audio. The spokesperson said, “He first avoided it and tweeted about the accusation Lai Mohammed made THAT SAME DAY in Washington DC, without commenting on the ‘yes-daddy’ audio that was already four days old on that day.”

Mr. Keyamo’s tweet makes the argument that Mr. Peter Obi’s was a tacit admission of guilt.
