Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, Allegedly Used by Bola Tinubu to Win Nigerian Presidential Election 2023
Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate, has been advised to acknowledge that he was used by the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, to emerge victorious in the recently concluded Nigerian Presidential Election.
This remark was made by Reno Omokri, a supporter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who stated that Obi was delusional to think that he won the 2023 presidential election.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Omokri stated, “What kind of delusion is making Peter Obi, who couldn’t win 25% of the votes outside SE and SS and NC states with a sizeable Igbo population and Lagos, claim he won #NigerianElections2023? My friend, accept that Tinubu used you to play. Lick your wounds!”
Furthermore, Omokri questioned the LP’s decision to suspend Basambo Abubakar, its Kwara gubernatorial candidate, for anti-party activities, while Obi openly urged Obidients to vote for PDP’s C River gubernatorial candidate, Sandy Onor. Omokri asked, “Will Labour also suspend him, or are there different rules for different folks?”
Although Obi came third in the presidential election after Atiku and Tinubu, he maintained that he won the poll and would contest the outcome of the election in court. Consequently, he has set up a team of lawyers to plead his case at the Presidential Election Tribunal.
