Dr. Paul Enenche, the General Overseer of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), officially endorsed the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, for the upcoming election on Saturday.
Enenche had previously warned his congregation against voting for the two major political parties in the country without mentioning any names. Many people, however, believed that he was referring to Peter Obi.
On Monday, Enenche took to his Facebook page to confirm that Obi is the candidate he is supporting. He shared a picture of himself, Bishop Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church, and Obi. He urged his followers to vote for the former Anambra governor for integrity, authenticity, and honesty.
In his post, Enenche emphasized that a photographer took the picture randomly some time ago but is speaking volumes right now, especially in this season. He went on to ask his followers what they see and what they can hear. He encouraged them to choose candidates who embody integrity, authenticity, honesty, sincerity, simplicity, humility, capacity, and productivity.
Enenche’s endorsement of Peter Obi is a surprise to many, given that the Labour Party is not one of the major political parties in the country. However, it remains to be seen what impact his endorsement will have on the election.
