Reno Omokri has said that the PDP is pleased with the petition filed by the Labour Party (LP) against the Presidential-elect, Bola-Tinubu.
NEWSEDUP had earlier reported that Peter Obi has filed his petition at the presidential elections tribunal in Abuja. This was disclosed in a statement via Twitter on Tuesday by the Chief spokesman of the LP Presidential Campaign Council, Yunusa Tanko.
Tanko noted that the process of Obi reclaiming the people’s mandate has commenced. He wrote,
“It is official the LP Presidential candidate Peter OBI has filed his petition to the presidential elections tribunal in Abuja. The process of reclaiming the people’s mandate has started.”
In a Thursday post via his Twitter() handle, Omokri said that Obi is assisting Atiku in claiming his mandate at the tribunal. Omokri added that the LP flagbearer would still not be announced as the winner, even if his efforts succeeds in convincing the court that Tinubu rigged the election.
Omokri said, “The thing is that even if Peter Obi can prove his claim that Bola Tinubu did not get the most legal votes and did not fulfil the ¼ in 2/3rd states, the court will just announce Atiku, the winner. That is why we are very ecstatic about Obi’s petition. It is like fetching water for us! The #NigerianElections2023 isn’t like Imo’s election. The INEC 3rd cannot become the court’s 1st. If Obi’s petition removes Bola Tinubu, then Atiku is in place.”
