Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, has praised Nigerian MMA star Isreal Adesanya on Twitter for winning his world middleweight title back at UFC 287.
Obi tweeted:
“By decisively knocking out his opponent and regaining his UFC Middleweight Title last night, Israel Adesanya @stylebender proved that persistence is the path to reclamation. Congratulations valiant Champion!”
The tweet reiterates Obi’s message of persistence and determination in reclaiming his mandate through the courts. A mandate Obi feels that the ruling party stole from him.
