New appointments by President Bola Tinubu includes the Service Chiefs and others. The shake-up continues in the leadership of government agencies, with the latest being the approval for the immediate retirement of all service chiefs, Inspectors General of Police, Advisers, and Comptroller General of Customs by the President. The Secretary to the Government of the Federation made a statement today on the new appointments by President Bola Tinubu:

- Mallam Nuhu Ribadu as the National Security Adviser (NSA)
- Maj. Gen. C. G. Musa as the Chief of Defence Staff
- Maj. Gen. T. A. Lagbaja as the Chief of Army Staff
- Rear Admiral E. A. Ogalla, as the Chief of Naval Staff
- AVM H. B. Abubakar as the Chief of Air Staff
- DIG Kayode Egbetokun as Acting Inspector General of Police
- Maj. Gen. Epa Undiandeye as Acting Chief of Defence Intelligence
- Adeniyi Adewale as Acting Comptroller General of Customs
The statement explains that all appointments as Service Chiefs, Inspector General of Police and Comptroller General are in acting capacity pending their confirmation in accordance with the constitution.
