Peter Obi, who is considered as a front-runner in the presidential election, disrupts the traditional hegemony of APC and PDC. He surprised many by leaving PDP, where he once was a vice-presidential candidate with his now competitor, Atiku Abubakar, to join an erstwhile fringe political party – Labour Party.

“My running mate, Datti, and I are promising you to secure and unite Nigeria.” Peter Obi said. “We will ensure no Nigerians will feel excluded because he is from North, East or West, but will be proud to say he is a Nigerian.
