Dr Obafemi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, has called for the prosecution of Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo if he is proven guilty of breaking any law concerning his alleged threat against the Igbo community during the run-up to the state governorship election.
However, during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, Hamzat insisted that if evidence proves MC Oluomo guilty of wrongdoing, he must face the consequences of his actions. Although, MC Oluomo claimed he was addressing a lady named “Iya Chukwudi, not the Igbo in Lagos.
8Hamzat expressed his disappointment and stated that anyone who threatened non-voters should be prosecuted, regardless of ethnicity. “To assume that because someone is from one ethnic group, he’s going to vote one way is stupid,” he added.
