According to Naija News, Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, has stated that the only way to win over those who did not vote for President-elect Bola Tinubu is through good governance.
The SAN made this known in a tweet from his verified Twitter handle on Sunday. He noted that supporters of Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party had rejected Tinubu’s declaration as president-elect and had approached the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal to nullify the outcome of the February 25 election.
Keyamo further stated that no persuasion could convince people who did not vote for Tinubu to believe in his administration but that good governance will speak for itself. He emphasized that once Tinubu takes the oath of office, the talking must stop, and the work must begin.
In his own words, Keyamo said:
“I have come to the realization that there is no amount of convincing we can do in the media (be it social or orthodox media) to woo those who didn’t vote for us to believe in us other than good governance that @officialABAT has promised. Immediately after swearing in, the talk must stop, and the work must begin!”
