Lagos Mega Rally: Obi Vows to Apologize to all Victims of Police Brutality

The Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, promised to ensure all the victims of Police Brutality in Nigeria get an apology from the Federal Government upon assumption of power. He made this statement during the Lagos mega rally held at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos, yesterday, February 11, 2023.

“All those who have suffered at the hands of the government will receive apologies. We will make sure that it never happens again. Nigeria will be a peaceful country. We will ensure that we love each other – this is the beginning of Youth and Women’s Development”, said the former Governor of Anambra State, alluding to Nigeria’s history of police brutality and impunity.

Furthermore, Mr. Obi promised to secure and unite Nigeria. “We will ensure that no Nigerian will feel excluded because he is from North, East or West, but will be proud to say he is a Nigerian. We will work hard to bring people out of poverty and ensure our youths are employed, and we will move this country from consumption to Production.”
