Senator Ali Ndume, a Member of the All Progressives Congress, has expressed surprise over the performance of the Labour Party in the concluded presidential and gubernatorial elections.
He said he never expected Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter obi, to “pull that kind of weight.”
The APC member said the results indicate that the Nigerian people are tired of those in power for multiple decades. The Senator noted that the legislative wing of government required the wisdom of age and experience but that the executive branch required youth and energy “to execute.”
This is strange as he is a member of the APC whose principal, Bola Tinubu, was declared the presidential election winner over the younger Labour Party candidate.
The Senator, however, says that his principal’s win was a clear statement from the Nigerian people.
