Rabiu Kwankwaso, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, arrived in Kano amidst gridlock as residents hailed him. Kwankwaso said that Nigeria has never been this bad and that leadership is the biggest problem in the country. He urged Nigerians to join hands in creating a new Nigeria by voting for him in the 2023 presidential election. He stated that out of the 774 LGAs in Nigeria, he was the only politician who successfully visited 500 LGAs, getting first-hand experience of the residents’ plights.
Kwankwaso claimed that the NNPP has the best candidates for respective political offices in the country. Some political analysts have tipped him as the presidential candidate who would divide the bulk of Northern votes between Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar, flagbearers of the All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party, respectively.
