Keyamo Explains Why APC Outlasted LP, PDP, and NNPP in Elections

According to Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC), the inability of other political parties to form a united front led to their failure at the 2023 polls. In a recent tweet, Keyamo highlighted how the APC successfully merged different parties in 2015 to defeat the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.

He further explained that for the PDP to have defeated the APC, it needed to have formed a strong coalition. However, the party fragmented into the Labour Party, NNPP, and PDP, ultimately leading to its downfall. Keyamo emphasised that the inability of opposition parties to unite and work towards a common goal was a significant factor in their defeat.

Removing emotions from the situation, it is clear why the opposition parties lost, Keyamo stated. He believes the opposition parties should have put their differences aside and formed a unified front to challenge the APC.

It was recently announced that Bola Tinubu of the APC won the 2023 presidential election, defeating Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Peter Obi of the LP. Keyamo’s comments shed light on the importance of unity and collaboration in politics, particularly during elections.

In conclusion, Festus Keyamo’s tweet highlighted the failure of opposition parties to unite and form a strong coalition as a significant factor in their defeat at the 2023 polls. His comments emphasise the importance of unity and collaboration in politics and remind political parties to work towards a common goal to achieve success in elections.
