The Labour Party is in court trying to get redress for a mandate they believe was stolen from them. The Declaration of Bola Tinubu as President-elect is being challenged just months before his inauguration. Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi believes he won said election and is in court to prove it.
Recently the former governor has come under fire, with some calling him a religious bigot. This is due to an alleged audio leak and then others ascribing calls for an interim government to his camp. Recently, Lai Mohammed accused Peter Obi of inciting insurrection while in Washington to speak on the concluded elections.
Director General of the Labour Party Campaign Council, Akin Osuntokun labeled all of that misdirection. He said he was confident in the courts and understood why the ruling party was trying to distract Nigerians from the petitions in court with these frivolous accusations.
He said he had personal knowledge of the evidence gathered for the courts and they were of such magnitude that they couldn’t be swept under the rug unless by a judge lacking a conscience. Mr. Osuntokun said the APC was so careless in the manipulation of results that it was so obvious. The political scientist said “Even a primary school boy would say that there is something wrong here”
