“It is a Joke” – MC Oluomo’s Threats to Igbos

On channels TV (), police spokesman Muyiwa Adejobi sought to reassure Nigerians, specifically Lagosians, of their safety as they exercise their right to vote in the gubernatorial elections.

When asked about the “Oro” festivals in predominantly Igbo areas of lagos, he assured citizens that the traditional rites would seize the day before election day and that citizens would be safe to go about their business and vote.

On the topic of the already viral video of Mc Oluomo threatening non-Yoruba residents of lagos to stay at home or vote APC, the spokesman had this to say “The person of interest has already come out to debunk the rumours that he made threats, he says he was making jokes with a particular Igbo lady, and we will take it as such.”

One can only hope his words go a long way to assuaging the fears of non-Yoruba residents in lagos, enough to see them go out and exercise their right to vote.
