Nigerian-born author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie rose to international prominence due to the popularity of her literary works. Leveraging her fame, the famous writer penned an open letter to Joe Biden, the President of the United States. In her letter, she urged the president not to acknowledge Bola Tinubu as President-elect as his path to victory was questionable.
As expected, her letter has left many in the APC camp feeling heated. Festus Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and a spokesperson for the President-Elect, has offered a rebuttal to her letter via Twitter.
Mr Keyamo opined that her letter reflected an inferior mentality, saying:
The SAN mocked the Obidients, who trooped out in droves to applaud the writer for speaking out. He said, “More tragic is that some rabid supporters here are falling over themselves in delusional ecstasy for such a worthless letter that may not even be considered worthy enough, in a diplomatic sense, for the attention of even a stenographer to an Under Secretary in the US.”
Mr Keyamo likened Chimamanda’s outburst to Ex-President Donald Trump’s tirade after he lost the election and said it would come to nothing.
