GRV Advocates for Removal of Danfo Buses

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV), the Labour Party candidate for Lagos governorship, has made it clear that if he wins the March 11, 2023 election, one of his top priorities is to replace the danfo buses that currently operate in the state.

However, in a recent interview, GRV explained that he plans to create a new system that allows Lagosians to invest in new buses. He proposes selling seats on each of these buses for ₦50,000, and the state will pay investors back every month. This would create a pool of money to help buy new buses and generate wealth for the investors.

Also, GRV believes that by replacing the danfo buses, Lagosians will experience less inconvenience and be able to travel more comfortably and safely. He argues that the danfo buses are often poorly maintained, overcrowded, and a source of traffic congestion, which leads to longer travel times and more incredible frustration for commuters.

GRV’s plan involves introducing new, modern buses that are safer, more comfortable, and more environmentally friendly. He also plans to improve the road network in Lagos to reduce traffic congestion and improve commuter travel times.

If elected, GRV’s priority will be to ensure that Lagosians have access to reliable and affordable transportation. He believes this will help reduce poverty and promote economic growth in the state.

In addition to his transportation plan, GRV has promised to create an enabling environment that will support businesses/ create jobs. He plans to invest in education and healthcare to improve the quality of life for Lagosians.

GRV’s campaign has gained momentum in recent weeks. The election is now seen as a three-way contest between him, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the APC, and Olajide ‘Jandor’ Adediran of the PDP. GRV plans to deliver quality governance that prioritises the needs of Lagosians and creates a better future for everyone.
