Goodluck Jonathan, former President of Nigeria has said that he had sleepless nights trying to resolve the issues of insecurities during his tenure.
According to Jonathan, he use to lose sleep cause of the insecurities, during his reign as the president of the country.
“when I was the president of Nigeria, the insecurity of the nation did give me sleepless nights, sometimes even while in the church, my ADC would bring a phone to show me how people were being murdered or kidnapped, and that gave me serious headache.” he stated.
Goodluck revealed this during his commissioning of the 22 kilometres dual carriage way executed by Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba state.
Mr Jonathan praised the governor and also the people of Taraba state for the successful completion of the project.
He went on to commend the quality of the project and also those involved in the construction. He said “I want to commend the contractors and the governor for the quality of work”.
In addition, he thanked the people of Taraba state, for choosing to stay in peace and harmony.
” I believe insecurity is the handwork of the citizens, the people of Taraba have chosen to live peacefully and you are enjoying it, is not a business of the federal or state government alone , I thank you for choosing to live in peace” He said.
