Political activist Aisha Yesufu has criticised the choice of Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, for the next Governor of Enugu State and instead decided to support another candidate for the gubernatorial election. Despite being a staunch supporter of Obi, Yesufu has chosen to endorse Frank Nweke Jnr of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the most qualified candidate to lead Enugu State.
Earlier, Obi had tweeted, calling on “OBIdients” to vote for Labour party candidates during the upcoming governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections on March 11, which included
Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour in Lagos, Chijoke Edeoga in Enugu, Patrick Dakum in Plateau, Alex Otti in Abia, Ken Pela in Delta, Ibrahim Mshelia in Borno
However, Yesufu was unsatisfied with Obi’s tweet and reiterated her stance that she would never sacrifice competence for partisanship. In a video viral on social media and in a tweet, She stated that Frank Nweke Jnr is the most competent candidate for the position of Governor in Enugu State.
