FFK: Arrest The Rebels And Treasonable subversives

A spokesperson for the APC and Former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Femi Fani-Kayode, calls for arresting all those pushing for an interim government. In a thread of tweets, he speaks about protesters who gathered at the gates of defence headquarters in Abuja, calling on the military to take over. He told of another group of protesters in Abuja who were heard chanting and calling the INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmoud Yakubu, a thief and saying that the inauguration must not hold.

The former Minister called these acts “outrageous, subversive and dangerous,” and not only that, but he also called them acts of treason, rebellion and insurrection.

He said the recent statement of the DSS was a vindication of him and others who had alleged that a plot was brewing to impose an interim National Government. He called on all supporters of democracy to support the DSS and help thwart the plans of the agitators.

Fani-Kayode said it was evident that the opposition sponsored and encouraged the protests. He said when you added their calls for a coup d’etat to the words of Vice-Presidential Candidate Datti Baba-Ahmed on channels news last week, where Datti expressed doubt in the judiciary and compared the swearing-in of President-Elect Bola Tinubu to a military coup, Kayode says the lines to connect the dots of conspiracy become clear.

The former Minister called on the current President and the relevant intelligence and security agencies to do something. He again called for the arrest of Peter Obi and Datti Baba Ahmed and the arrest of Atiku Abubakar and Ifeanyi Okowa “to find out their role in the matter.”
